Bangalore is a destination that is surrounded by some of the most wonderful places. You can plan so many trips around Bangalore. From palaces to forts, natural rock formations to hills, lakes to waterfalls, there’s almost everything around Bangalore, to satisfy the travellers.

Here are the best places to visit near Bangalore for a Day Outing Trip.

Antharagange:

Anthargange is situated in the Kolar district of Karnataka in the Shathashrunga range, about 70 km from Bangalore. This mountains at an altitude of 1712 meters from sea level with rocky boulders, small caves and dense plantations are one of the best getaways for trekking, rock climbing and cave exploration enthusiasts.

Akkayama Betta:

Akkayama Betta is about just 30 Km from Bangalore. This is absolutely worth for 3 hours if your time in the evening after 5 and especially in the monsoon months of June to December as the grasslands on top blossoms a beautiful pink flowers from the grass there. You can take the vehicles almost to the top of the hill and evenings are mighty pleasant here.

Bhairavadurga:

Bhairavadurga is a beautiful place for adventure lovers just like 1 hr drive from Bangalore. This place is near to Kunigal in the Hassan highway. During the monsoon, it is a stunning place to visit. Early morning is the best time to enjoy with mist and greenery grasslands. There are two ways to reach this fort. One is in the front side route, which is very straight forward with a descent hike. Another is an adventure junkies in the backside route, which is a bit rock climbing and vertically. During monsoonat times, kindly avoid the back side route  because its slippery. There are small ruined fort and a small temple in the top of the hill. Its a beautiful place to spend 4 to 5 hours with family and riends.

Bannerghatta National Park is located 22 km away from Bangalore.It is a best place to spend one day with family. Specialy it the point of attraction for the kids. The main attractions here are an aquarium, a zoo, Children's park, Crocodile Farm, Snake Park and Prehistoric Animals' Park.

Hulukadi Betta:

Hulukadi Betta is located at a distance of 70 km from Bangalore. You need to climb with steps leading to the hill for and grasslands to reach the fort at the top. The hike is very simple, anyone  can climb the hill. A beautiful pond is located at the top and also there are couple of temples, where everyday pooja is done. You can have breakfast in a lovely place near Doddaballapur on the way to the hill, which offers very good breakfast. The views from the top of the hill are very beautiful. You can also see Nandi hills and Kaurava Kunda from the top.

Dandiginahalli Dam:

Dandiginahalli Dam is a scenic place. It is a one hour drive from Bangalore. It is not a well known place in Bangalore but it is a very beautiful place for one day trip. This place is about 70kms from Bangalor. It is an awesome place to spend your mornings or evenings with family. This dam is surrounded with beautiful hills and few islands in-between. This is a beautiful place to do photo shoots and also camping in the nights. You can take our cars to near to the water. There is a beautiful bridge to take some awesome photos. Kindly take a village route via Rajanakunte to reach this place. This route's roads are beautiful than the highway. You can also spend few mins at the Gunjur Lake near Doddaballapur.

Bhoga Nandiswara Temple:

Bhoga Nandiswara is a 1000 year old temple at the base of Nandi hills. It is around 45 kms from Hebbal. It has the same beautiful structure like the Hampi's temples. There are three Shiva's (Arunachaleshwara, Bhoga Nandishwara and Uma Maheshwara) inside temple. The Kalyani (Pond) in this place is absolutely stunning and majestic.
This temple complex is very huge with beautiful lawns. You can spend a lovely evening with family. In the entrance Tree, there are thousand parrots with nests which makes amazing ambience. Please plan go before 4.30 pm as the Kalyani is closed after that. The temple opens till 8pm. Make sure you get a free fish spa done at the temple pond.

Avalahalli State Forest:

This is a beautiful state forest and near to Yelankha. This forest offers a beautiful forest feel within the city limits. It is maintained by KFD. The people sued to walk and cycling in the mornings and the evenings in this forest. The total walk path is around 4 kms. You can find to see lots of birds and peacocks here.

Jakkur Lake:

Jakkur Lake is a natural lake with surrounded with small forest. The lake is situated around 7kms from Hebbal. The lake is well maintained walking path. The walk path of the lake is full  of tree and flowers plants. You can find lots of migratory birds like Pelican, spoon bills, Comarants, Painted storks, Darter's during the winter season. The lake opens in the mornings and in the evenings for visitors. It offers a amazing landscapes around the lake. There is also a mini gym and workout area for fitness enthusiast.

Innovative Film City is an Indian movie theme park. It is a best location for a day trip with friends and family. The Theme park is divided into three points of attractions. The main attractions of this park are, amusement parks, museums, adventure sports, among other things. It is only 40 kilometers from Bangalore and can be easily reached by taxi or personal vehicle.

Deverayanadurga:

Deverayanadurga is very beautiful hill near to Tumkur. It is around a distance of 80 kms from Bangalore. You can walk through steps to reach the temple on tyhe top of the hill or can drive our car to the base of the hill. The Devrayanadurga is inside the reserve forest on Tumkur district. Sometime people spot Leopards and Bears when driving inside this forest. During the monsoons the view from the hilltop is very beautiful. You can a beautiful lake in the left side on the way to the hill which is water is very clear look. People use to do family picnic near this lake.

Chunchi Falls:

Chunchi Falls is at a distance of 90 km from Bangalore. This is a famous waterfall near Bangalore for the weekend travellers. There are lots of greenery surrounded the waterfalls. This spot becoming the deal breather for the people from the city. Chunchi falls is is fed by the river Arkavati and an almost 50 feet high from the ground. This place is a popular as a picnic spot during the weekend and festival time.

Gummanayaka Fort:

Gummanayaka Fort is a small and beautiful fort. It is situated around 115 kms from Bangalore The route to this fort is quite beautiful and its a very small trek of 20 mins to reach the top of the fort. It is ideal for spending a half day in this beautiful fort. You can plan for Lepakshi temple after visited this fort, so that it will cover in a one day trip.

Savanadurga:

Savanadurga has one amazing speciality as its one of the tallest monolith of Asia and rock climbers paradise. It is a distance of 60 kms from Bangalore and near Magadi. Do a hike very early in the morning as its very diff to climb on day time and also on monsoon where its slippery. Take enough water and on reaching the top we can see the beautiful Arkavathi river coming and joining the Machinabele dam. There are some beautiful old temples at the base where we park the car and this place is very specific for hiking and rock climbing lovers and might be diff for old people or young kids.

Kengal Betta:

Kengal Betta is less known place which offers thrilling vertical short climb for adventurers. This place is opposite to the Shivagange hills and around 1300 mtrs high above sea level. This betta is very small and takes about 20 to 30 mins max to climb up but the last 50 meters gets very vertical and holding rods are kept there to hold as support. Not a very difficult trek but if someone is bored on a weekend morning and want to spend 2 to 3 hours on a nice hill top then this place suits. You can see the beautiful view of Shivagange from the top of this hill. There is an old Basavanna temple on top of the hill which look good during monsoon with the full of mists and breezy wind.

Cubbon Park is famous place for sightseeing around the Bangalore. It is spread over 300 acres of green land. This is an best place for nature lovers and kids and those seeking a calm atmosphere. Bangalore Aquarium is also inside this park which attract the more attention of the travellers. Most of the people do morning work who are staying near to this park.

Lalbagh  is a botanical garden which is ideal location for the nature lovers and kids. It is covered an area of 240 acres near to the city centre. There are around1,854 species of plants are panted in the park. Lalbagh is a place where everyone can remember the glasshouse, the big clock, the variety of flowering plants, the old trees and the beautiful lake and the surrounding environment. Every year the celebration of independence Day and Republic Day held here.

Gopinath Betta Temple is a very small hill temple. It is  suitable for a very short climb and a drive to view the beauty of all the 3 betta's in one single view ( Nandi betta, Skandagiri and Horagina Betta). You can take the car to the top of the hill or if you want to enjoy the hike, you can park the car at the base and clim the steps . The view of the Gopinatha Temple from the top is beautiful and nice. You can plan for to visit Bhoga Nandiswara temple after this temple.

Shivagange Hill:

The Shivagange field is a center of adventure and devotion. Perched at an elevation of 804.8 meters or 2640.3 feet, the beautiful mountain peak is 7 km from Dabaspet in Bangalore rural district and 56 km from Bangalore. Shivagange is a pilgrimage and adventure destination for the devotees. The Shivalinga is a form of Shiva.

The top of the hill is believed to be the holy river of many water bodies. As a result, the hill is called Shivagange. Nandi stone carving is the main attraction of the place. From the confluence of Gangadhareshwara, the Honnadevi Temple, and the inner statue of Tirtha Nandi, the place is known as Dakshin Kasi or Kasi of South India.

Ramdeverabetta:

Ramdeverabetta is a distance of 56 kms from Bangalore and neat Ramnagara. It is also known as Vulture Sanctuary. This whole trek can be done in like a 2 to 3 hours in total and has neat steps almost 90% to the temple at the top. What's interesting here is the last view point where we have to climb a literally 70* ladder to reach the topmost view point and might be difficult for elders but till the temple anyone can go. You can find may vultures flying around the peaks which is called as the home for the vultures. It is a safe place and good car parking is available and infarct few forest department officials are present at the base for any help.

Nandi Hills is Located around 60 kilometres away from Bangalore. Nandi Hills is one of the most famous tourist spot in Bangalore. This place gradually been discovered by visitors over the years. Now it is become a well-known weekend getaway and camping spot. It is known as the most popular destinations for trekking of Karnataka and Bangalore.

Wonderla is the best amusement park in Bangalore on the Mysore road. This park is accommodated with a water park which attract the children. This is a ideal location for one day trip with family.  Many people chose this location for the special moment celebration like, birthday and anniversary. Muthyala Maduvu (Pearl Valley):

Muttila Madhu, popularly known as Pearl Valley, is 40 km from Bangalore and 5 km from Anekal. This beautiful picnic spot is located in the valley, nestled amidst the hills. Pearl Valley is rich in flora and fauna, and has many exotic species of birds, including a waterfall. The main attraction of Pearl Valley is the enchanting waterfall and the droplets of water falling from the rock surfaces creating the illusion of a pearl-like look, hence the name Pearl Valley. For trekkers, it offers a dense forest, good adrenaline rush through the mountains. Only the monkeys in the area are wary.

Big Banyan Tree:

Big Banyan Tree is about 28 km from Bangalore. It is the oldest banyan tree in India, the fourth largest of all the ancient pine trees in India. The 400 year old banyan tree is the fourth of the oldest banyan trees in India. Twigs. The giant tree is covered in four 3 acres. The thousands of baggy roots are a unique attraction. The Muneshwara Swamy Temple is a part of them. There are stone benches to refresh those who come to view the pride. In 20000, the main stem of the tree fell sick and died. The tree is growing fast, and strong, with the nourishment of many branches. The branches have a root like a continuous mattress, which means the whites have fallen to the ground.

Conservation responsibility: The Karnataka State Horticulture Department is responsible for the conservation of banyan tree. The iron grill was laid around the four-acre site. The Department of Tourism has declared the big banyan tree as a heritage tree and has been declared a tourist destination. The central government also recommends that the area be considered for all-round development. The ape of monkeys is loud.
